WHAT IS A RIBBED BELT?
Ribbed, or poly-V belts, feature V-shaped ribs along their inner surface. These ribs increase the contact area, which improves the friction between the pulley and the belt. As a result, they can transmit more power than a standard rubber V-belt of the same size.
Thanks to their compact design, ribbed belts are ideal for high-speed drives where space is limited. They also offer excellent efficiency, reducing energy loss during operation.
Durable and cost-effective, ribbed belts can perform reliably even in demanding conditions such as large transmission ratios, high belt speeds, small pulley diameters, and systems with back idler pulleys.
